For anyone who loves sport there is lots in store this summer.
The exciting sporting events kick off in France on 10th June with the start of the UEFA European Championship 2016. France will open the proceedings against Romania in St-Denis while England and Wales start their defence against Russia and Slovakia respectively on Saturday 11th.
Euro 2016 continues until the final on Sunday 10th July.
Overlapping the football is the Tour De France cycle race. The ‘Grand Depart’ is on Saturday 2nd July from Mont Saint-Michel in Northern France. There are 21 stages over a mixture of flat and mountain roads including two individual time trials with the final day ending on the Champs-Elysees in Paris.
Rounding up the sporting summer is the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is a major international multi-sport event from 5 to 21 August 2016. These events will take place at 33 venues in the host city and at 5 venues in the cities of São Paulo (Brazil’s largest city), Belo Horizonte, Salvador, Brasília (Brazil’s capital), and Manaus.
