As part of the Skills to Foster training for potential carers, the Fostering Friends attended a presentation workshop on Wednesday 5th April 2017. This involved them identifying what they felt new children who may foster school know and decided how to present this. They all worked very hard and came up with some great work. I think that the punctuations of cake decorating and their own 14 inch pizza each also helped!
In the afternoon, the potential children who foster attended and the Fostering Friends gave brilliant presentations, plus spent time sharing other information during discussions. They also shared the cakes they had decorated. We ended the session off with the ‘chocolate game’ (big bar of chocolate and cutlery!). Everyone went home full of chocolate and I hope full of enthusiasm.
Many thanks to our existing Fostering Friends who worked so hard to make this day a success.
